I think the jury is still out if Twitter is viable as a means for generating revenue or branding. I would like to see someone measure it so we can get past the hype.

BTW, people used to be addicted to email too. I suppose people still are, no one writes about it anymore.

Hi vivienne!

Life is indeed different with facebook and twitter. It affects our daily lives in many ways. People start to communicate using such tools more often than another. The last big wave of digital communication is instant messaging.

I believe social media is the upcoming trend of marketing and advertising. Tonnes of people are using. It is said that in marketing, people buy when they feel most at ease. Now if ads are being placed in such social media tools, if done correctly, they can be reliable because its based on the age-old way of marketing: word of mouth.

Now if twitter is word of mouth except its more viral and digital, its effectiveness is going to be top-notch. I believe it should be a major component in any marketing plan.

Yes, bokjae, life isn’t quite the same with FaceBook and Twitter. I know of people who felt really uncomfortable if they are not facebooking or tweeting. :)

Wow! Yes! you need to know how to use Tweeter for this can be a great marketing tool! Even in Malaysia, the politicians are using it and many twitterers are reporting live events! Media has changed with the advent of Twitter and FaceBook!
