Best Friends Award

When I started blogging in February 2007, my intention is simply to share my knowledge and experience on marketing and advertising with lots of passion, honesty and integrity. I wanted to add value in other people’s life as my mentors, peers, colleagues, business partners and associates had done to me. They are my light houses. Without them, I will be totally at sea. Little did I know that blogging enlarged my social circle. I know more people and made some really nice friends along the way.

Bokjae of Listening..Learning..Living bestowed me the honour of a “Best Friends” award. This award warms my heart instantly and greatly. Blogging is certainly no fun without friends. I thank Bokjae for his friendship and by being so supportive in many, many ways.

Grace Pulpit aptly said “A friend is the one who comes in when the whole world has gone out.”

Oprah Winfrey shared: “Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.”

I like to share this award with a few bloggers whom I have utmost respect for their quality blogs. They have offered invaluable feedback and insights via the comment boxes or emails and I appreciate their friendship very, very much.

  1. Hi Viv,

Nice post and thanks for the mention. I must say that I too have utmost respect for you and your blog and I have said before I truly believe you have all that makes an entrepreneur.

We started around the same time, I looked at blogging just as a new hobby. Little did I know that I am going to make some great blogger friends. I have met many wonderful folks as a blogger, needless to say you are one of them. Its a unique relationship, most of us are always there to help each other. I wish someday I could just reach out to these friends and shake hands to say the least.

Take care and cheers and good luck.

  2. Hi Vivienne!

I wonder how I deserve to be named in your post. In this time-strapped world where we juggle so much, we don’t often find time to stop by and greet each other, though we want to often. Being a novice to blogs, I first bumped into your blog in my search through copyblogger or some blogs I don’t remember well, where they mentioned your name with a post on marketing. I’m totally overwhelmed by your concern when you immediately replied to my email ID.
In the process, you made me richer by letting me know all the great posts out there to be read and reread. I thank you for this wonderful help.
I wish you all the best in your future endeavours!
    Thanks & Regards
    Solomon

  3. Thanks for mentioning me and glad to be a friend too. There are very few marketing or PR bloggers in Singapore, and I must say that you have been doing a wonderful job here at Versa Creations. My dream has always been to be a marketing consultant specialising in integrated marcoms and social media strategies, and what I do now in my blog is aimed in that direction. One day, I will embark on the entrepreneurial route just like you. ;)

  4. I know I should visit here more often, but I wanted to say that I value you as a true blogging friend too. Congratulations on your award. You certainly deserve it.
